Paint & Sip
Join us on Thursday, July 9 at 6 p.m. for a paint and sip! Here’s what you need to know:
* No registration needed. Just show up, and we’ll fill every nook and cranny of this place if we need to.
* We’ll be painting West Texas flora and fauna, so just bring some photos in that vein for inspiration.
* We’ll have some beverages on hand, but also feel free to bring your own or something to share.
* This is a free workshop! We do encourage tips for our lovely teacher if you’re able to contribute.
Cochineal Bandana Dyeing Workshop
Join us at Leather Bound Books & Goods on Saturday, March 21st for a cochineal bandana dyeing workshop. Cochineal dye is derived from dried parasitic insects that live on prickly pear cacti. Amada Miller, a talented maker whose work blends art with science, will be leading the workshop and walking us through the mechanisms underlying the dyeing process. Registration is $20 (plus taxes and Eventbrite fees) to cover the cost of materials and to compensate our instructor for her time. And you'll get to keep your bandana to show off in perpetuity! To secure one of our limited slots, register here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1984675765641?aff=oddtdtcreator
